How is WFLYH different?
-
By scheduling appointments in advance, we can manage our workload effectively, ensuring that we have enough time to dedicate to each client's needs.
-
Instead of tipping, clients pay for the service based on a predetermined hourly rate, knowing that the total amount covers both the service and the provider's compensation. This approach aims to simplify transactions and ensure fair compensation for service providers without relying on tips.
-
Did you know that in Illinois (since 2017) it is illegal for businesses to charge women more than men for services?
Pricing services based on gender is discriminatory, and that’s why at WFLYH we just call a haircut… a haircut.
-
Double booking is a major stress inducer, wreaking havoc on both clients' peace of mind and the salon's reputation for top-notch service. We steer clear of that chaos by never double booking appointments. Each client gets our undivided time and attention, fostering a vibe of positivity all around.
-
We're all about delivering exceptional salon services to our clients. By not selling retail products, we channel all our attention and resources into perfecting haircutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions.
While you won't find physical hair products for sale in our salon, you can buy some online! We earn a small commission when you purchase products using our affiliate links.
Impact
WFLYH leads with empathy, trust and a fuck ton of transparency. Our artists have the freedom to specialize in services that align with their skill sets which allows them to attract the most ideal client to sit in their chair. They have the autonomy to choose a schedule that works best for them and their clients. We consult with our clients about pricing upfront, no slimy 'gotcha' bill waiting for you post-session. Double booking? Fuck that; we honor each client with exclusive attention, no distractions. And we’ve axed the whole gratuity thing due to its racist and misogynistic roots.
